I love shooting Sunsets in the San Joaquin valley. This day I was surprised with thousands of migrating birds. One has to shoot fast as the light changes rapidly. But the rewards are timeless.

I finished work early yesterday and thought I would relax for a little while. I went to Steamer Lane in Santa Cruz and photographed the surfers. I shot at 1/250 & 1/500 and overexposed +0.3, for the backlight.

Last night in SLR 102 at Gordons Photo Service I made this HDR image from an old building in Golconda, NV. I have also included a black and white version created in Silver Efex Pro.

Here are some of my pictures from Thunder Mountain. The sky was flat, but the grounds were incredible. I tried to concentrate on the buildings and sculptures.

Yesterday we visited the dunes North of Winnemucca. I just processed these photos to share. We were very lucky with the wind and the weather.
