Well, I have created some viewfinder photos through the looking glass of an old Kodak twin lens camera. Thursday at the marina in San Francisco and a new one!
As promised, here is my trusty Kodak Duaflex at work.

June has taken me from Palo Alto to the coast of Big Sur and on to the farmlands of The San Joaquin Valley.
Here are some of my favorite shots this month.

And, also one from my garden trellis

On Dan’s advice I shot 10 GB of pictures in Idaho this summer. How wonderful to get away from the speed of everyday life. These are two of the Infrared pictures from this trip. The top is a picture of the Boulder mountains, while the bottom is the Wood River. I bought a #87 Kodak wratten filter which I hung over the lense. Finding the correct exposure was a challenge, but these were shot at ISO 400, F 1.4, 2 second shutter speed.

I had a long drive home from Paradise Friday night. Between the burned out homes and the eerie farmland vistas, I was compelled to be thoughtful about my life. And thankful for my blessings and gifts. This property had new landscaping, but sadly, the house is gone. When we only read about the California wildfires in the newspapers, we don’t realize how devastating they have been.
